System of the operated ventilation of a case (PCV)

Models with the 4.0 l engines are equipped with system of continuous (uncontrollable) ventilation of a case (CCV). This system functions in the same way as well as usual operated (PCV), however its structure did not switch on the valve of management. Instead the formed vacuum tube is connected to depression of the inlet pipeline on a cover of a head of cylinders in the party of the engine turned to interior of the car.

In a tube the calibrated jet of the fixed size is built in. The jet serves for determination of amount of the crankcase gases removed from the engine. The hose of supply of fresh air from the air cleaner is connected to a forward part of a head of cylinders on a cover of a head of cylinders. During the operation of the engine air is forced in the engine where mixes up with crankcase evaporations. Due to depression of the inlet pipeline mix of air and crankcase evaporations is pumped over through the calibrated jet and removed in the pipeline from where gets to combustion chambers where it is destroyed.

The system of the operated ventilation of a case (PCV) allows to reduce issue in the atmosphere of hydrocarbonic connections due to destruction of crankcase evaporations. It is made by implementation of circulation of fresh air from the air cleaner through an engine case where it (air) mixes up with crankcase gases and via the valve of management (PCV) it is removed in the inlet pipeline.

The main components of the PCV system are the valve of management (PCV valve), the filter of crankcase gases and vacuum hoses serving for connection of these components with the engine.

For maintenance of quality of turns of idling the PCV valve locks a conclusion of gases from a case at deep depression in the pipeline. At emergence of violations in functioning of the engine (for example emergence of problems with piston rings) the design of system allows to carry out a conclusion of crankcase gases on a ventilating tube in the air cleaner from where mix gets to combustion chambers and is destroyed in the course of normal operation of the engine.
