Serviceability check, removal and installation of injectors of fuel

See the prevention at the beginning of the Section Procedure of Dumping of Pressure of Fuel.



  1. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature.
  2. At the engine working on idling on one disconnect each of injectors. You monitor at the same time changes of turns of idling of the engine. If falling of turns of the engine is almost identical at a detachment of an injector of each of cylinders, injectors as it should be and function regularly. If shutdown any of injectors does not lead to falling of turns of the engine, pass to performing procedures of the following item.

For a rassoyedineniye of electric sockets of injectors it is required to give nuts and to raise the highway of laying of a plait of wires.

  1. Switch off the engine Disunite the electric socket of the suspected injector and measure resistance between two plugs of the socket (from an injector) (see an illustration).
  2. Resistance has to equal about 12.4 Ohms. Otherwise replace an injector.
  3. If resistance of an injector lies in admissible limits, it is necessary to use the voltmeter with a high impedance or a special control lamp for check of a plait of wires of injectors (ask in shops of automobile accessories) (see an illustration).
    • If tension on the socket periodically changes from zero to 2 V (or the blinking of a control lamp 0 takes place, food of an injector is normal.
    • If tension is absent, check a condition of a plait (The head Sistema of onboard electric equipment).
    • If the plait is not damaged and in it there is no short circuit, check conducting between the module of management of RSM and injector(s) for existence of break, short circuit or violation of quality of contact.



  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Dump pressure in a power supply system (Section Procedure of Dumping of Pressure of Fuel).
  3. Disunite electric sockets of injectors of fuel.
  4. Disconnect vacuum and fuel hoses from the regulator of pressure (Section Check of Serviceability and Replacement of the Regulator of Pressure of Fuel).
  5. Disconnect all tires of grounding from the fuel highway.
  6. Disconnect the line of supply of fuel from the fuel highway.
  1. For a detachment of the line of supply of fuel from the fuel highway at first release a safety clip of nipple connection.

... then enter in connection special, made of plastic, the tool and an otstykuyta the line, having wrung out the tool lock sponges.

  1. Give fixing nuts and disconnect the fuel highway from injectors.
  1. Remove the arm of the fuel highway located close with the fuel pressure regulator (the 5.2 l engine is shown).
  1. Give bolts (shooters) of fastening of the highway to the inlet pipeline.
  1. Take the fuel highway from a motive compartment.

  1. Take injectors from the nests in the inlet pipeline, remove from each of injectors and throw out sealing rings of three types.

At correction of defects even of one of injectors all will be reasonable to remove them and to replace all three types of rings on everyone.

  1. Take clamps of injectors from assembly of the fuel highway.
  1. Carefully remove sealing rings of round section from an injector.



  1. Grease new rings (pillow type) with pure motive oil and insert them into injectors.
  2. Grease sealing rings of round section with pure motive oil and put on them an injector(s), then insert each of injectors into the nest in the fuel highway and establish clamps.
  3. Oil new sealing rings laying pure motive and enclose from in nests of injectors in the inlet pipeline.
  4. Install assembly of injectors with the highway on the inlet pipeline. Tighten bolts of fastening of the highway with the required effort.
  5. You make further installation as it should be, the return to a removal order.
  6. Upon completion of installation of injectors / the fuel highway turn the ignition key in position of ON, however do not turn a starter (it will lead to two-second turning on of the fuel pump and rise in pressure in fuel lines and the highway). Repeat inclusion two-three times, then check fuel lines, the highway and injectors for existence of signs of leaks.
