Check of serviceability of an electric contour and replacement of components of the motor of the fan of a heater and conditioner of air

Check of a contour

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check all safety locks and electric sockets of a contour for reliability of fastening and existence of traces of corrosion. Make sure that the battery is completely charged.
  2. Having transferred transmission to situation "P" (Parking) and having cocked the parking brake, turn the ignition key in position of ON (without starting the engine).
  3. The fan of a heater is located under a ware box of the dashboard, near a partition of a motive compartment. Unbend a clip on one of screws of fastening of the motor of the fan and release from it a plait of wires. Delay a plait down, facilitating thereby a rassoyedineniye of the electric socket.
  4. Connect the voltmeter to the electric socket of the motor of the fan of a heater.
  1. Disunite the electric socket of the motor of the fan of a heater and connect the voltmeter to its half attached to a plait of wires.
  1. Consistently switch the fan switch to all provisions, watching instrument readings. Change of the fixed tension speaks about corresponding changes in the speed of rotation of the fan (when switchings the switch). To the minimum speed there corresponds the minimum supply voltage while at transfer of the switch to the provision of the highest speed food on the fan moves bypassing the resistor and reaches the maximum value in 12 Century.
  2. If tension is fixed, but the fan does not rotate, establish a crossing point between the plug of grounding of the motor and "good" mass of the chassis of the car. Connect the wire equipped with a safety lock between the positive plug of the battery and the positive plug of a half of the socket from the motor. If now the motor begins to rotate, remove additional wires (crossing points) and if the motor at shutdown of a crossing point on weight immediately stops, check reliability of grounding of the motor. If after introduction of corrections the motor does not begin to function, most likely it is faulty.
  1. Connect the tire of grounding and the wire equipped with a safety lock from the positive plug of the battery directly to a half of the electric socket of the fan from the motor and check whether the motor will turn on now.

Resistive assembly of the motor of the fan of a heater

Resistive assembly of the fan is located on a heater casing. On a payment of assembly it is installed several resistors corresponding to four speeds of rotation of the fan.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove assembly from the seat and examine it on existence of damages. Check conductivity of assembly between all its plugs. If as a result of an overheat the restrictive contour is broken off, it is necessary to make the corresponding replacement, installing only identical replaceable components.
  1. Unscrew two screws and get the fan motor resistor from the holder.
  1. By means of the voltmeter check a contour between the switch of the fan and the resistor, measuring tension on the resistor end of a plait. Check each wire on each of speeds.

The motor functions only at one of speeds

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If tension on the motor is absent, disunite the electric socket of resistive assembly and check it for presence of tension. If food is present only at socket plugs, check conductivity of resistive assembly and a wire between assembly and the motor. Check a wire also for existence of signs of short circuit.
  2. If tension on assembly is absent, remove the control panel of a heater (The section Removal and installation of assembly of management of a heater and the conditioner of air) and, having turned the ignition key in position of ON, measure tension on the heater fan motor switch socket.
  3. If tension is absent, check conducting between the assembly block of safety locks and the switch for break and short circuit.
  4. If tension takes place, connect one end of a long wire to the powered switch socket plug. Serially connect the second end of a wire to each of food plugs on resistive assembly. If now the motor functions normally, replace the switch.
