Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
  2. Empty the cooling system (The head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
  3. Remove assembly of the air cleaner.
  4. Dump pressure in a power supply system (The head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases).
  5. Turn a natyazhitel of a driving belt of hinged units so that there was an opportunity to take off tape type a belt from a pulley. Take off a belt.
  1. Having put on a key a bolt of a natyazhitel, turn the last clockwise so that there was an opportunity to take off a driving belt from a tension roller.
  1. Remove the generator (The head Sistema of electric equipment of the engine). On the models equipped with the conditioner of air remove the compressor and put it aside.

Do not disconnect any refrigerator lines.

  1. Give three bolts of fastening of the pump of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel. Put the pump aside, having installed it so that hydraulic liquid followed from it on.
  1. Access to bolts of fastening of a naos of system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel is possible through openings in a pulley.
  1. Shoot a tension video (it blocks access to one of arm bolts). Give bolts of fastening of an arm of the generator/compressor to a forward wall of the engine and remove an arm.
  1. Access to one of bolts of an arm is closed by a tension roller - shoot a video, give a bolt and remove an arm.
  1. Mark and disunite electric sockets of each of fuel injectors. Disconnect all vacuum lines attached to the inlet pipeline and the case of a throttle.
  1. Disunite electric sockets of injectors of fuel and carefully mark them for a guarantee of correctness of installation of connection at assembly.
  1. Disunite the remained electric sockets on the inlet pipeline and the case of a throttle and, having delayed up, throw all plaits of wires via the inlet pipeline and bring them for the engine.
  2. Remove assembled fuel highways and injectors (The head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases). Both fuel highways can be taken by a pulling vertically up together with the injectors fixed in them, however, for extraction of injectors from the inlet pipeline it will be required to make a certain effort.
  3. Remove the top hose of a radiator from the engine, then disconnect a hose of a heater and perepuskny a hose of the water pump from the inlet pipeline.
  1. Disconnect from the pipeline a hose of a heater and perepuskny a hose of the water pump.
  1. Disconnect draft of gas (The head of the Power supply system and production of the fulfilled gases) and if the car is appropriately equipped, draft of a tempostat. On models with AT disconnect from the throttle case a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve in the mode kik-Down (TV cable).
  2. Give two screws of fastening of a cover of the distributor (use a replaceable head with the drive on 1/4 inches and the suitable extender). Disconnect wires from spark plugs (The head Nastroyki and routine maintenance). Carry out a distributor cover with candle wires behind the inlet pipeline and take them from a motive compartment.
  3. Remove the block of distribution of depression from the driver's party of the pipeline and move it to the opposite side of the engine.
  4. Give two bolts of fastening of a tube of system of recirculation of the fulfilled gases (EGR) to the final collector (The section Removal and installation of final collectors) located from the passenger party.
  5. Remove the EGR valve from a back part of the inlet pipeline, - it has to provide access to the union of a tube of EGR which is screwed in in a back part of the inlet pipeline, directly under the EGR valve. Pick up EGR phone.
  6. Remove the inlet pipeline together with attached to it by the throttle case. After the pipeline will be separated from the engine, make sure that all wires and lines are disconnected from it.

Do not try the pipeline is hooked, having started the lever between it both the block of the engine and a head of cylinders as it is fraught with damage of the interfaced surfaces with emergence after depression losses.


  1. The inlet pipeline is rather bulky and heavy - before final removal from the engine make sure that all wires and lines are disconnected from it.

Installation

The interfaced surfaces of heads of cylinders, the block and the pipeline have to be smoothed carefully out before installation of the last. Special solvents and aerosols for a softening of traces of material of old laying are produced - ask in shops of automobile accessories. Strictly observe instructions of manufacturers of structures.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Clean traces of a deposit from channels of the EGR system and I sit down. By means of a pro-masonry scraper carefully remove all traces of sealant and material of old laying from the interfaced surfaces, then wipe surfaces with the rags moistened in acetone. Existence on the interfaced surfaces of traces of sealant or oil at installation of the pipeline is fraught with emergence in the closest future of leak of oil and losses of depression. Cover a cavity of placement of pushers of valves with rags in order to avoid hit in the garbage engine. For removal of small garbage and sawdust from inlet ports in heads of cylinders use the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Tap of the required size banish a carving of bolted openings, having blown then openings compressed air (whenever possible) for removal of shaving from them.

When using of compressed air surely put on goggles.

  1. Grease the party of new laying of the inlet pipeline turned to heads of cylinders thin a RTV sealant layer.
  2. Establish side laying of the pipeline on heads. Usually laying is marked from the party turned to the pipeline by LT tags (left) and RT (right) in this case their installation will be quite unambiguous. Track that laying was established on the correct party and with combination of openings of all inlet ports, cooling channels and bolted openings.
  1. Laying has to be established on the correct party; some of them can be equipped with LT tags (left) and RT (right) from the party turned to the pipeline, however surely it is necessary to track combination of openings under ports and to make sure that cuts of side laying coincided with uvulas on back and forward parts of laying of a head of cylinders (shooter).
  1. The plastic directing pins which invest in openings at the edges of laying and in forward and back parts of the block can be enclosed in a set of new laying. If such pins are enclosed, surely use them. If pins are not applied, squeeze out in openings in the block a little RTV sealant. Apply a thin uniform layer of quickly stiffening putty on face consolidations of the inlet pipeline and the contact surfaces of the block of cylinders and press laying to the block, having allowed RTV sealant to be squeezed out through openings in laying.   1. Squeeze out RTV sealant in openings under the directing plugs (arrows) on the ends of laying.
  1. If the run of the engine makes more than 80 000 km (50 000 miles) and the set of laying of the inlet pipeline is available, now it will be a high time to replace laying between the inlet pipeline and the case of a throttle.
  2. To the lower part of the pipeline приболчен pallet of the camera of excessive pressure. In case of need remove the pallet and carefully smooth out the interfaced surfaces.
  1. Remove the pallet of the camera of excessive pressure from the lower part of the inlet pipeline and smooth out the interfaced surfaces.
  1. Install the pallet on the pipeline, having replaced laying and наживив bolts by hand. Tighten bolts with the required effort in three stages and in the order shown on an illustration below.

  1. Grease four angles of laying of the inlet pipeline on the engine with RTV sealant, however do not squeeze out too much sealant - he has to act only slightly over forward and back laying.
  1. Grease with RTV sealant four corners where laying is joined to side laying.
  1. Carefully install the pipeline on the place.

Try not to displace laying and do not move the pipeline back and forth AT ALL after it is pressed to forward and back consolidations, otherwise laying can turn out shifted that it is easy not to notice, however in the next future it will lead to emergence of leak of oil.

  1. Establish bolts of the inlet pipeline and tighten them by hand. Then tighten bolts with the required effort in three stages and in the order shown on an accompanying illustration.

Two lobbies and two back bolts are disposed closer than others to water channels therefore before installation of their carving have to be greased with sealant.

  1. You make further installation as it should be, the return to a removal order. Start the engine and carefully check it for leak of oil, vacuum and cooler through joints of the interfaced surfaces of the inlet pipeline.
