Replacement of valvate springs, their plates and maslootrazhatelny caps

Replacement of the broken valvate springs and maslootrazhatelny caps of cores of valves does not demand carrying out removal of a head of cylinders. Implementation of this procedure usually requires existence of two special tools and a source of compressed air. Attentively examine materials of the Section and in advance prepare all necessary materials and tools. If access to a source of compressed air is categorically impossible, for deduction of valves from falling in cylinders in the course of implementation of the procedure it is possible to use a piece of a nylon cord.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Uncover a head of cylinders (The section Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders).
  2. Unscrew a spark plug of the cylinder in which there are defective components. If there is a need for replacement of maslootrazhatelny caps of cores of all valves, remove all candles.
  3. Turn a bent shaft so that the piston of the corresponding cylinder appeared in VMT of the end of a step of compression (see the Section Reduction in the provision of VMT of a step of compression of the piston of the first cylinder). If maslootrazhatelny caps of cores of all valves are subject to replacement, begin with the cylinder No. 1 and serve valves of each of cylinders serially. From the cylinder you pass to the cylinder as ignition (see Specifications).
  4. Screw an adapter in a candle opening and connect to it a hose from a source of compressed air. The required type the adapter can be found in any of shops of automobile accessories.

Many kompressometra are delivered with the carving nozzle perfectly suitable as an adapter for giving in the cylinder of compressed air through a candle opening.

  1. Remove bolts, spherical support and yokes of valves of the cylinder with defective components, then take bars of pushers. If it is necessary to replace maslootrazhatelny caps of all valves, it is necessary to remove all yokes and bars of all pushers (The section Removal, check of a state and installation of yokes and bars of pushers).
  2. Give compressed air to the cylinder.

Air pressure the piston can move sharply down, having caused a sudden provorachivaniye of a bent shaft. If for transfer of the piston to the provision of VMT the face key was used and at this moment it will be left put on the bolt which is screwed in in a shaft end face it is fraught with getting injured.

  1. Valves have to be kept by air pressure now. If the working surfaces of valves and a facet of their saddles are considerably worn-out, leak of air can result in impossibility of keeping of valves in the closed state - in this case it is necessary to resort to an alternative method.
  2. If access to a source of compressed air is absent, or wear of valves and their saddles does not allow to use it, it is necessary to resort to an alternative method of keeping of valves. Bring the piston into situation about 45 ° before compression step VMT, then fill a piece of a nylon cord through a candle opening in the combustion chamber, having completely filled it with it. Take care of that the end of a cord of length, sufficient for its subsequent extraction, remained to stick out of a candle opening. A big face head with a collar rotate a bent shaft in the normal direction until emergence of easy resistance to a provorachivaniye.
  3. Stop up with opening rags in a head of cylinders near valves in order to avoid falling in the engine of details and tools, then the special tool squeeze a valvate spring. By means of small nippers or a magnet take crackers of the cutting lock.

Two various types of tools for compression of valvate springs without removal of a head of cylinders from the engine are issued. One tool is hooked for the lower rounds of a spring and at rotation of the handle provides pressing a plate of a spring whereas the second tool shown in the drawing operates as the lever, with use as a point of support a yoke bolt. Both types of tools work equally well, however the second costs slightly cheaper.


  1. Use of the tool for compression of a valvate spring without removal of a head from the engine - crackers of the cutting lock can be taken from a flute on a valve core by means of nippers or a magnet now (the second is more preferable).
  1. Remove a plate or a rotary support of a spring, the plug (it is used on some types of valves) and assembly of a valvate spring, then remove a maslootrazhatelny cap of the directing plug

  1. Put on a rubber bandage the end of a core of the valve or wrap up it an adhesive tape for the purpose of prevention of casual falling of the valve in the combustion chamber, then block air supply.

If instead of compressed air the nylon cord was applied, slightly turn a bent shaft in opposite normal the direction.

  1. Check a valve core for existence of damages. Rotate the valve in the directing plug, trying to reveal existence of eccentricity of an end face of the core which is a valve bend sign.
  2. Move the valve up-down in the plug. Existence of points of jamming speaks about a bend of a core or damage of the directing plug. In both cases the head has to be removed from the engine for carrying out repair.
  3. Again give air to the cylinder for keeping of the valve in a closed position, then remove an adhesive tape or a rubber bandage from a core. If the nylon cord is applied to keeping of the valve, turn a bent shaft in the normal direction until emergence of easy resistance to rotation.
  4. Oil a valve core motive, and its end face - and establish by assembly motive lubricant a new maslootrazhatelny cap of the directing plug, freely pulling its core of the valve before full landing on a plug ledge.

Put on caps extremely carefully, trying to avoid damage them about keen edges of flutes under installation of crackers.

  1. Install a spring on the valve.
  2. Install a plate of a valvate spring (or a rotary support). Squeeze a spring and establish crackers of the cutting lock in a flute on a valve core. For keeping of crackers in a flute to an otpuskaniye of the tool squeezing a spring apply on their internal walls of a little dense lubricant.
  3. Release the tool squeezing a spring and make sure of correctness of landing of crackers.
  4. Disconnect an air hose and turn out an adapter from a candle opening. If the cord was applied, take it from the cylinder.
  5. Establish to the place of the Bar of pushers, yokes, spherical support and bridge brackets (The section Removal, check of a state and installation of yokes and bars of pushers).
  6. Screw a candle(s) of ignition and connect a candle wire(s) (The head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
  7. Establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders (The section Removal and installation of a cover of a head of cylinders).
  8. Start the engine and check it for leak of oil and existence of the foreign sounds proceeding from under a head cover.
