Check of a state and repair of a heater of glass of a door of a back

The heater of glass of a door of a back represents a series of the horizontal elements pasted on the surface of glass from its inside.

Small ruptures of elements can be eliminated without glass removal.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Include ignition and a heater of glass of a door of a back.
  2. Ground a negative wire of the voltmeter on the plug A, positive connect to the plug B.

Test points of a heater of glass of a door of a back.

  1. Indications of the voltmeter have to lie in limits between 10 and 15 Century. Smaller value of tension speaks about violation of quality of grounding.
  2. Connect a negative wire of the voltmeter to well grounded point - the indication should not change.
  3. Connect a negative wire to the plug A, then serially touch with the probe of a positive wire an average point of each of lines of a lattice of a heater.
  4. Instrument reading has to make every time about 6 Century. The zero indication of the voltmeter confirms existence of break between an average point With and the plug B.
  5. The indication in 10 - 14 V indicates existence of break between an average point With and the plug A. Translate the probe towards break; after crossing of the last the indication will change.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For restoration of the torn-off elements of a lattice it is recommended to use special repair MOPAR No. 4267922 sets (or its equivalent). Set contains a conducting plastic epoxy compound.
  2. Before restoration of an element switch off a heater let's it cool down within several minutes.
  3. Slightly rub the damaged site with thin rigid wool, then wipe it with alcohol.
  4. Paste an insulating tape on both sides from the damaged site parallel to the line of an element.
  1. For restoration of the damaged site of a horizontal element of a lattice of a heater paste on both sides on a strip of an insulating tape.
  1. Carefully mix a compound according to the instructions attached to set.
  2. Put a compound in a gleam between insulating tape strips on the damaged site of an element, having blocked its healthy edges approximately on 20 mm.
  3. Let's a compound get up within 24 hours, then it is possible to remove an insulating tape and to test a heater.
