All models of the brand of cars described in this manual are equipped with the rigid forward bridge. On models 2WD the continuous tubular sleeve is applied; on all-wheel drive (4WD) models two steel sleeves of half shafts are welded from each of the parties on a pig-iron case of differential (for more details see the Head Stsepleniye and the transmission line). Peredny Bridge is suspended by means of pair of shock-absorbers and two screw springs. Four managing directors of the lever of a suspension bracket provide freedom of movement of the bridge in the vertical direction; horizontal shifts are limited by means of a cross jet bar. The stabilizer of cross stability serves for prevention of a swing of a body. Each of rotary fists is positioned by means of couple of spherical support pressed respectively in the top and lower ends of the forked beams welded on bridge end faces.

Back suspension bracket

Zadny Bridge consists of a pig-iron central case in which the differential and couples of steel tubular sleeves welded on a case from both of its parties is placed (for more details see in the Head Stsepleniye and the transmission line). Zadny Bridge is suspended by means of pair of shock-absorbers and two screw springs. Four managing directors of the lever of a suspension bracket provide freedom of movement of the bridge in the vertical direction; horizontal shifts are limited by means of a cross jet bar. The stabilizer of cross stability serves for prevention of a swing of a body.

Steering

In system of hydrostrengthening of a wheel the box of the steering mechanism which transfers the rotary effort enclosed to a steering wheel through system of drafts of the steering drive (a bipod, average and connecting steering drafts) to levers of rotary fists of the operated wheels is applied retsirkulyarno-ball type. The damper established between the bridge and average steering draft serves for mitigation of an undesirable deviation of the operated wheels from the chosen direction at the suspension bracket course).

The shaft the helmsman of a column fastens to the mechanism of a steering box by means of the small cardan hinge. The design the helmsman of a column provides its folding at blow during accident.

The national security service of traffic of the USA (NHTSA) issued the special bulletin on critical components of a steering column of models 115,000 Jeeps Grand Cherokee of release from December, 1992 to July, 1993 in which it is told that: "The cast finger serving for connection of the top and lower shaft the helmsman of a column made of plastic can be cut off at installation of a steering column on the car. In this case the top steering shaft can separate from lower". In turn, "the helmsman of a column leads a rassoyedineniye of the top and lower shaft to full loss of controllability of the car that is fraught with emergence of an emergency". During the work with components of a suspension bracket and steering it is often possible to face the problems connected with fixture otdavaniye. Fixture is under the bottom of the car and is subject to continuous influences of moisture, a road film, dirt, etc. that leads to its "prikipaniye" and complications at an otdavaniye. Sometimes the attempt of its rotation in the direction of twisting helps to shift the "stuck" bolt or a nut (clockwise). After easing or removal of any fixture of components of a suspension bracket or its steering it is necessary to examine attentively and, in case of need, to replace (corresponding on a standard size and a design). At assembly it is necessary to pay close attention to respect for the efforts of tightening of threaded connections recommended in spice. Do not make at all attempts to warm up or in a different way to straighten the deformed components of a suspension bracket or steering - always replace them new.
