Check of a state and replacement of the directing bearing

The directing bearing of coupling is the bearing of roller type which is pressed in a back pin of a bent shaft. The main task of the bearing is providing a support of the forward end of a main shaft of the transmission. Check of a condition of the directing bearing has to be made every time at removal of components of coupling from the engine. In view of an access zatrudnennost, in case of lack of confidence in definition of a condition of the bearing, replace it without hesitation.

If the engine is removed from the car, it is necessary to lower superfluous of the procedures given below.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove RKPP (The head the Manual box of gear shifting).
  2. Remove coupling components (The section Removal, check of a state and installation of components of coupling).
  3. Check the directing bearing for existence of signs of excessive wear, deep scratches, zadir, losses of lubricant and other damages. In case of identification of any of the listed defects the bearing has to be replaced. At survey of the bearing useful will be a small lamp.
  4. Removal of the bearing is possible by means of a special stripper, however application of an alternative method appears not less effective.
  5. Find a firm steel core, on diameter slightly it is less than the internal diameter of the bearing. Instead of a core it is possible to use wooden whetstone or a replaceable head with inserted into it for filling of a cavity with a bolt.
  6. The core has to enter the bearing rather densely.
  7. Fill the bearing and space behind it (a cavity in an end face of a bent shaft) dense lubricant. Make stuffing as it is possible more densely, distilling from a cavity as much as possible more air.
  8. Insert a core into a bearing nest, cover the bearing and a core with rags and begin to strike a core with the hammer rather strongly. At the same time lubricant will begin to force out (force of water hammer) the bearing from a shaft. Remove the bearing and remove all traces of lubricant from deepening in a shaft pin.
  1. Fill deepening behind the bearing dense lubricant and having inserted in the bearing a core of the corresponding diameter (densely), begin to knock on a core, creating the water hammer which is forcing out the bearing from a pin of a bent shaft.
  1. For installation of the new bearing fill its internal surface and slightly grease an external surface with lubricant on a lithium basis (bearing lubricant), then fill the bearing in deepening in an end face cranked by means of the centering tool or the tool for gas station of plugs. The sealing ring has to be turned outside, and the bearing to rise in a nest strictly perpendicularly.
  1. The sealing ring which is not subject to replacement in an individual order is a part of the directing bearing. In case of identification of signs of leaks or drying of the bearing, replace it. The bearing has to be installed by a sealing ring outside.
  1. Begin to knock the bearing in a nest by means of the tool for landing of plugs or the suitable size of a replaceable face head.
  1. Install into place components couplings, RKPP and all previously being removed details. Correctly tighten all fixture.
