Replacement of an epiploon of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of differential

Out of operation of an epiploon of a shaft of the leading gear wheel emergence of leak of lubricant of differential and its hit on the holder of a crosspiece or a flange of the driveshaft is result of an entrance. Replacement of an epiploon is made without removal or dismantling of differential.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken nuts of fastening of back wheels, the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props.
  2. Remove back wheels and drums of brake mechanisms.
  3. Disconnect the driveshaft from the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel (Section Check of a Condition of the Transmission Line).

Back differential

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. By means of a dynamometer key slowly turn a shaft of the leading gear wheel of differential for its nut, having remembered the size of the developed torque.
  2. Mark the provision of a shaft of the conducting gear wheel in relation to his holder of a crosspiece. Take the holder of a shaft of the leading gear wheel big adjustable pincers, then twist a nut a dynamometer key, having remembered the size of the torque developed for its otdavaniye.
  1. Mark the provision of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of differential in relation to her holder of a crosspiece.
  1. Having taken the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel big pincers, by means of a dynamometer key weaken a nut, having written down the torque developed for this purpose.
  1. Having used in case of need a stripper, remove with the holder of a crosspiece from a shaft of the leading gear wheel.
  2. Having visually examined an epiploon, carefully take it from differential by means of the screw-driver or mount. Try not to damage at the same time vents of a shaft of the leading gear wheel.
  3. Grease sponges of a new epiploon with universal lubricant or lubricant liquid of differential and carefully establish it on the place in differential. Landing of an epiploon is into place made by means of special adaptation or a short piece of a pipe of suitable diameter and the hammer.
  4. Smooth out the surface of the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel contacting to epiploon sponges. Grease with universal lubricant a contact surface and vents of a shaft, then the hammer with soft brisk put the holder on a shaft, monitoring combination of landing tags.
  5. Grease a carving of a new nut of a shaft with the universal lubricant conducting differential gear wheels, then, holding a flange, tighten a nut, having completely chosen a gear wheel shaft side play.
  6. For shrinkage of the bearing several times turn the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel.
  7. By means of a dynamometer key measure the size of the torque necessary for a provorachivaniye of a shaft of the leading gear wheel. The result of measurement has to equal to the effort measured earlier, plus 0,57 N • m. If landing of a shaft demands for its provorachivaniye of effort less than the required value, gradually begin to tighten a nut, trying to obtain the required moment. If the maximum torque (56 N • m, plus the effort developed for a nut otdavaniye) a provorachivaniye of a shaft is reached earlier, than the required effort of preliminary load of a shaft (effort of tightening of a nut) will be developed, it is necessary to make replacement of the remote plug of the bearing in a workshop of car service.

Do not give a nut of the conducting gear wheel for reduction of preliminary loading. After control of size of preliminary loading you pass to performing procedures of item 1.

Forward differential

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Working according to indications of item 2-6, give a nut of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of differential, remove a washer, then remove from a shaft the holder of a crosspiece and an epiploon.
  2. Following indications of item 7-8, establish a new epiploon and the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel.

Forward and back differentials

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect the driveshaft to the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel (Section Check of a Condition of the Transmission Line).
  2. Install into place brake drums (or disks) and wheels, lower the car on the earth and tighten nuts of fastening of wheels with the required effort (see Specifications to the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance).
  3. Make trial runs and make sure of lack of signs of leaks around the holder of a crosspiece of a shaft of the leading gear wheel of differential.
